The
wedding ceremony on Malolo Island was
top notch. The Fijian staff helped organize
the event and picked out the perfect time
for the ceremony. As the photographer
I was expecting them to not understand
the complexity of lighting but the event
was perfectly timed. The festivities were
during golden hour, a term refering to
the light quality being best one hour
before sunset. Not to be confused with
happy hour which is when drinks are discounted
to help start the evening off right. The
only problem was the inconsiderate hotel
staff during the wedding dinner. During
the speeches the hotel dcided to schedule
the regular band for all the other guests.
You couldn't hear a single speech for
half an hour as the wedding party wrestled
it out with the staff. Another reason
I think Fijians are two faced. One side
loves you until they are paid and then
the other side becomes rude and inconsiderate
when the check is cashed. Overall the
Wedding went great except for this SMALL
problem.
