New
Hampshire is one of the New England States
and one of the first states to be settled
by Europeans. It is a long thin state
with access to nearby Canada. New Hampshire
is called the "Granite State"
because it has numerous granite quarries.
It is a notoriously beautiful state during
the areas fall season, as the area becomes
a riot of color. New Hampshire is known
for its excellent skiing as well as being
the home of the Loudon Classic, the longest-running
motorcycle race in the United States.
Strangely enough New Hampshire is also
the only state with no mandatory seatbelt
law for adults or mandatory vehicle insurance
for automobiles. This is sort of strange,
but makes sense when you think that New
Hampshire was involved in the Free State
Project. This makes driving in New Hampshire
a lot more interesting, a lot more affordable,
and (according to outsiders) a bit dangerous.
New Hampshire is also the location of
one of the few pleasant Atlantic beaches
known as Hampton Beach. Being where it
is of course it is only usable in the
summer months, but when it is open it
is quite pleasant.
