Montana
is sort of like a more northern version
of Colorado: it has a lot of mountains,
is very rugged and beautiful, and has
great skiing. To this day it is a wild
place, where people are more or less free
to do as they please. Montana lies on
the border with Canada, specifically the
Provinces of Saskatchewan, Alberta, and
British Columbia. It can get very cold
in Montana, and it contains a large portion
of the Rocky Mountain Range. There are
also many lakes in Montana, and the parts
that aren’t mountainous are very
flat. These plains lead in an easterly
direction towards Montana’s neighbour
Idaho (known as the potato people). Parts
of Yellowstone National Park are located
in Montana, while the majority of the
rest of the park is located in Idaho and
Wyoming.

American
school children and strategists all over
the world know Montana as the location
of the Battle of The Little Big Horn.
This was the place where a cavalry general
by the name of Custer would lead his men
(belonging to the U.S. Army) to their
death at the hands of the Sioux tribe.
Custer was a Civil War hero and he was
sent to dispose of the forces belonging
to a man known as Chief Sitting Bull.
In the rugged backdrop of Montana all
of the U.S. Army men were slaughtered
like chickens. It is still hotly debated
if they went down fighting, but go down
they did. Today the site is a tourist
site and graveyard, the men being buried
where they fell.
