It’s
name meaning “red like”, Colorado
is a mountainous state that is home to
many a national park. Known for its picturesque
beauty, Colorado is also home to the Rocky
Mountains, an expansive and impressive
set of peaks that help form the continental
divide. Mountains in Colorado are covered
with trees to an area called their “tree
line”. Typical mountain trees include
typical examples of conifers, especially
trees such as aspen. Somewhere inside
the interior of the Rocky Mountains are
many large parks or broad high basins
which are excellent places to go sight
seeing, even if it is only from the window
of a car.

One
of the interesting things about Colorado
is that there are so many Aspen trees
that they named a town Aspen. At one time
Aspen was just any little quite mountain
town, but it quickly became a place to
go skiing. Aspen gained a lot of attention
from the American Elite, and soon aspen
was swarming with very rich people. This
disturbed many of the local population,
including an Author named Hunter S. Thompson.
Mr. Thompson got so upset he tried to
run for office, but unfortunately he lost…
a sad day for the Freak Power movement.
Mr. Thompson retired to his ranch, known
as “The Owl Farm” to write
books about politics. He remains there
to this day and will gladly shoot anyone
who trespasses.
