California
was first discovered by the Spanish in
the 1500s and then folded into the United
States in the 1800s. It has since grown
to be one of the most important states
in the union, and is a very interesting
place to visit. California is of course
a rugged state, filled with mountains
and deserts and rivers. It has many excellent
ecological zones, long winding highways
just perfect for the budding motorcycle
enthusiast, and a climate that is perfect
for anyone who has a serious dislike of
winter.
While there are many cities of note in
California the one that everyone across
the world knows is Los Angeles. While
cities like San Francisco and San Diego
are major world-class cities they are
loath to compete with Los Angeles and
its little mutant sidekick Hollywood.
People from all over the world will fly
for hours and hours just to stand on Bob
Hope’s footprints in front of Mann’s
Chinese Theatre. Containing over 10 Million
people Los Angeles is hard to miss, even
from space.

California
as a whole is quite different from the
rest of the continental United States.
There is an overall attitude of relaxation
in California, with Los Angeles breaking
this mould maintaining its reputation
for being a seething crime encrusted sprawl.
While it is true that the spirit of the
Wild West one can still hear the ghosts
of the past by listening to the echoes
of the present.
