The
State of Arizona easily be called “hot
as hell”. Filled with long highways
Arizona is an excellent reason to buy
an extra bottle of water. Any city in
Arizona (such as its capital city, the
aptly named Phoenix) bakes under a remorseless
sun that makes one think of circling buzzards
and bleached cow skulls. Most of Arizona
is desert, and while some of the land
is high above sea level and some of it
is almost below sea level it is almost
all rocky and barren. People who live
in Arizona are famous for only coming
out at night, when the harsh glare of
the sun is long gone. Of course its still
pretty hot at night sometimes, but it
can’t compare to the daytime.
One may think that Arizona State has no
wildlife, but to those who known nature
know that there are many animals perfectly
adapted for life in Arizona. Many insects,
birds, small mammals, and reptiles call
Arizona their home.

If
you want to see examples of these animals
you will need to go to one of Arizona’s
star attractions, the Grand Canyon. The
Grand Canyon is situated inside a huge
nature preserve that bears its name. The
canyon is so popular that hundreds of
people arrive every day to see exactly
how big it is, and be assured that it
is very big indeed.
If one wants to get a taste of the Wild
West, Arizona is a perfect place to start.
While wandering around in the desert may
seem tempting it might just result in
a snakebite or sunstroke. Paying a visit
to the town of Tombstone is an excellent
idea, as they have an enactment of the
“Gunfight at The O.K. Corral”.
Just remember to out on your sunscreen.
