This
is a group of New York City buildings
located between 48th Street and 51st
Street in Midtown Manhattan. The Rockefeller
Center is named after a dynasty of
corporate oil barons that at one point
held America in their hands. The Rockefeller
Center reaches over both the street
known as Fifth Avenue and the Avenue
of the Americas. The complex is a
combination of the older Art-Deco
office buildings from the 1930s and
the four International-style buildings
built along the Avenue of the Americas
in the 1960s and 1970s.
