Looking
to the entire world like a Mardi Gras
festival, the hotel is decked out in fine
fashion. You will know that you have hit
Harrah’s when a girl in a strange
mask gives you a string of plastic beads.
In fact on a busy night there are beads
all over the place, either finding their
way across the Strip because people have
been to Harrah’s and thrown them
away or they have been carelessly tossed
from moving cars.
Harrah’s,
like most Las Vegas hotels, makes itself
out to be a one-stop entertainment destination.
The casino is very large and has all sorts
of festive touches like fiber-optic fireworks
explosions in the ceiling and confetti
pattern carpeting. There is a festive
mood about the place that you can see
the employees have been instructed to
keep going at all costs. Be sure to check
out the "party pits": groups
of gaming tables where the dealers are
encouraged to get as wild as the players
with yelling, dancing, and wacky hats.
There are also people with masks and such,
which can get pretty garish at times,
but its kind of nice if you’ve had
a few drinks.
