If
you’ve ever wanted gamble in a theme
park then the Circus Circus is the place
for you! In the golden days of Vegas this
was one of the first “far out”
casinos; it was garish, over the top,
and many people at the time didn’t
think it had a whole lot of class. As
time passed and Vegas got stranger and
stranger the Circus Circus not only began
to fit in but also became more-or-less
what Las Vegas was all about.
Not only does this casino and hotel resemble
a big top, but it is the only casino in
the city that has a functioning high wire
act above the main gaming floor. For those
who like to win fuzzy animals instead
of shinny coins (i.e. real money) there
is a fully functional midway with the
traditional “toss the ring”
type midway games.
If the tables aren’t giving you
enough excitement you can look at the
exciting ADVENTURDOME, which has roller
coasters and many of the traditional midway
rides (complete with the food that might
make you regret you went on those rides…
but hey, that’s half the fun).
For
those who are interested in a more modern
side to the legends of Las Vegas, the
Circus Circus is where rap legend Tupac
Shakur was shot to death (right out in
front by the giant white circus animals
made of plaster and steel). To this day
no one knows who the shooter was, but
one thing was for sure; there was a drive
by in 1996 that left him full of holes.
Strangely, in an area with hundreds of
people around all day long… no one
saw anything.
