While
Caesars may not be the largest casino
in Vegas it is easily the most famous.
One of the first casinos to enter the
“new age of Vegas” it is the
                                        centre of prize fighting entertainment.
One of the reasons that people like to
come to The Palace is that while it is
large and very posh it isn’t the
kind of place that needs flashy gimmicks
to attract the patrons; OK, maybe you
consider a 118000 square feet of gaming
floor designed to look like ancient Rome
flashy, but compared to some of its neighbours
                                        it can practically go unnoticed.
All of the buildings on the casino grounds
are designed to be replicas of their ancient
counterparts, and they are just as large
and just as well lit (uh, if ancient Rome
                                        had floodlight that is). There’s
a giant theatre that looks like a coliseum
for the big names like Celine Dion and
Elton John, and a huge pool oasis filled
                                        with statuary and gardens.
On a Friday night Caesars Palace is practically
electric with excitement. The crowd is
                                        generally middle-upper-crust as Caesars
has one of the few highs stakes gambling
pits left in Vegas. Perhaps not as sophisticated
as the Ballagio, Caesars is still a very
classy place for very classy people to
                                        loose their very classy money.
