Here
is a treat of a place. I stayed here for
a friends wedding and was very pleased
with the place. You need to take a ferry
ride over but when you get to the Jetty
there are Fijians singing for you and
welcoming you. The Resort seems centered
around the Jetty. There is a fabulous
oceanside restaurant where you can sit
and watch the place come alive. The 2
pools are top notch and the burres are
great and give youexcellent access of
the beach and resort ammenities. I would
recommend that anyone staying in this
place book the burres close to the Jetty,
offices and restaurants. If you get the
burres on the far end you'll have to take
a long walk to get to the main resort
area. The staff are friendly for the most
part but they may try to take advantage
of your tourist dollars.
For
a stag island hopping party we agreed
to a price of 1500 US for a boat ride
for about 20 guests with beer. But the
Fijians came to us later and wanted 1700
US after we had agreed on a price. Talk
about bad karma. Even Mexicans won't stoop
that low. We were firm on 1500 and they
let us have that price. Even still it
was overpriced. The food is great the
first time you have it but you get tired
of the lack of variety quickly and it
is overpriced for sure. 20 US for a small
pizza. But that is the price when everything
has to be shipped in daily. Don't pay
for the meal plan. It's cheaper buying
things one item at a time. I do hikes
for photography and feel the resort trails
are poor and the island needs more of
them. The views on top could be improved
with some grooming of treelife. Overall
I enjoyed my stay but found this place
fell short of being 4 stars. More like
3 stars. But still worth the trip.
