in 1887 by Sir John A. Macdonald,
and headquartered in the city of Toronto,
the company has offices in Canada,
the United States (through John Hancock
Insurance) and Asia throughout 19

with 20,000 employees. Manulife Financial
is the largest insurance company in
Canada, the second largest in North
America and the world's fifth largest.
Manulife Financial Corporation also
trades as MFC on the Philippine Stock
Exchange, and under 945 on the Stock
Exchange of Hong Kong.
