In
September 2005, Stratford hosted the
Ovation Music Festival, organized
by local resident Chris Parson. Local
musicans opened for several big name
Canadian groups including Sum 41,
Simple Plan, Our Lady Peace and Barenaked
Ladies. 2006 will continue again with
an all-Canadian line-up, one of the
few music festivals in Canada to do
so. The Tragically Hip will be the
Saturday, September 9th headliner
and Bachman/Cummings (Randy Bachman
& Burton Cummings of The Guess
Who, BTO fame) as the Sunday, September
10th headliner with special guests
to be added soon.
