Located
in the European country named the Republic
of Serbia (which is part of a larger organization
called the Union of Serbia And Montenegro)
is the City of Pozarevac. The city’s
name means “Fire Town”, and
has existed since Europe’s medieval
ages. Pozarevac’s neighbours include
cites like Smederevo, Kovin, and Beograd.
Pozarevac is the administrative center
of an area called Branicevo District,
which encompases most of Norther Serbia
and includes cities like Golubac, Malo
Crnice, Zabari, and Zagubica.
Pozarevac
made international news in when a NATO
Tornado Bomber was shot down over the
city in May of 1999 during the bombing
campaigns. Outside of the war there are
many reasons one might know Pozarevac.
Some of the places of cultural importance
in Pozarevac are the Serbian National
Museum, the Tulba Ethnic Park, and the
Milena Pavlovic-Barili Gallery of Paintings
(an artist firmly with the surrealistic
genre).
