Known
as the “mile high city” because
if its relation to sea level, Denver is
the capitol of Colorado and also the state’s
largest city. An excellent place to start
if one is going on a driving tour of the
Rocky Mountains, Denver has everything
a urban city dweller might need. Located
at the foot of the Rocky Mountain Range
the entire city has an excellent view
of this geological edifice. Denver is
a stopping point for land transport moving
between the states of Wyoming and New
Mexico. Likewise, if one is moving on
a easterly or westerly route one would
pass though Denver to go to Utah and Kansas.
The two major highways that meet in the
city have been called “the mousetrap”
because of their design and also because
of how one can get caught on them during
rush-hour.
